Grown on high elevation hills of Western Ghats, Baba Budangiri is also one the of the oldest coffee estates in India.

Baba Budan was a 16th-century Sufi whose shrine is at Baba Budangiri, Chikkamagalur, Karnataka. He is said to have introduced the coffee plant to India by bringing seven raw beans from the port of Mecca, while coming back from Hajj. In those days coffee was exported to other parts of the world in roasted form so that no one could grow their own & were forced to buy from Yemenis.

Our Story

In the early 2019, in Bandra Mumbai, two slightly disaffected coffee lunatics, weary of the commercial coffee enterprise and stale, overly roasted beans, decided to open a roaster for people who were clamouring for the actual taste of fresh coffee. Using a minuscule 5 kg batch roaster, they made a historic vow: “We will only sell coffee less than 48 hours out of the roaster to our guests, so they may enjoy coffee at peak flavor.”
